Description
Where would you sew this hand printed patch? It would look great on your sewing bag or denim jacket. Maybe a purse? The possibilities are endless! Stitch it on with a raw edge or fold the edges under, depending on the look you’re going for.
The last photos show some ideas on how to use these patches- use it traditionally as a patch – I folded the edges under and stitched over a hole in my quilt. Use it as a focal point on a t-shirt – I folded the edges under and stitched to the center of this t-shirt (I believe there is even a stain that I covered up there!). Or sew a fabric border around it as use it as a wall hanging. Stitch to a bag, a jacket, a hoodie… there are so many options!
Each patch is approximately 6 inches x 6 inches. The image size varies.
I carve each design by hand, in a rubber blockprinting medium, then I print the design onto cotton or linen-cotton blend fabric. The design is then heat set, so that it’s permanent. Each patch comes with directions on how to stitch it to a fabric surface and ideas of how to use these patches.
Every patch is printed individually by hand, so there may be small imperfections that add to individuality of the print. The fabric may have designs in it that vary based on how and where it was cut out. I purposely leave enough space around the edge of the design so you can fold the edges under or cut them to the size you want!
Although this patch is printed with fabric ink and completely heat set, it will last longer with hand-washing and keeping out of direct sunlight.
